Revisioning is a zine in which the writer uses the experience of systemic violence she faced as a young teacher in the field of higher education to launch into an exploration of a culture steeped in patriarchy and caste. The illustrated narrative allows the writer to revisit her ordeals in search for answers. This zine was created keeping in mind that the reclamation of our experience is an important step towards healing and resistance.
Stuti Mamen
Stuti Mamen Lowang is a research scholar and a self-taught artist from Arunachal Pradesh. She worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of English, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan, for eight years before resigning to recuperate and focus on her art practice. Her areas of interests are postcolonial studies and comics studies. As an artist, she is passionate about exploring the intersections of social identity and mental health via the graphic storytelling format. The borderland - a space that is quite literally at the margins - is a recurring motif in her work.
